Abyssopelagic zone (3000-6000m)

The Abyssopelagic zone covers the sea's bottom that is not in ocean trenches. The pressure here a little less then the hadalpelagic zone, but its still incredibly intense. In fact, some of the organisms that live this deep in the sea would explode if exposed to conditions with any less pressure. The temperature here rarely goes above or below 2 or 3 degrees celsius. ther are very few creatures that can survive here and the ones that do are mostly invertibrates.

TRIPOD FISH
Tripod fish are named for their extra long fins that allow them to "stand" on the ocean floor. While their torso is only about 30 cm long, their fins are usually around one metre. Tripod fish are hermaphrodites because they are so widespread, that they sometimes they are unable to find mates at all. To remedy this, they are actually able to reproduce by themselves. They spend most of their time stationary waiting for passing copepods and other small crustaceans to munch on. These secondary consumers have tiny eyes and rely on their sensitivity to vibrations in the water to find their prey. They basically just sit around facing the current and waiting for something to come their way.

SCOTOPLANE:SEA PIG
The sea pig is a sea cucumber with leg-like structures. These leg-like appendages are used to move the sea pig by inflating and deflating as water flows in and out of water cavities in the skin. They also have ten other tentacles at different locations on their translucent bodies. These other tentacles are used to sift through the sand and move food into their mouth. Sea pigs are decomposers that sift through the dead matter that floats down to the ocean floor when sea creatures die. They live in large groups and often appear in hundreds. Sea pigs are an integral source of food for many deep sea predators including some very vicious parasitic snails.

GIANT SQUID
Giant squid are tertiary consumers and, while they may look squishy, they can crush steel cable with their mouths. they have the largest eyes of any creature on Earth, spanning as big as 18 inches across. they have 10 tentacles. Out of these five, two are for lifting food into the mouth, and the rest are used as a form of propulsion. The giant squid, true to its name can grow to the size of a bus and there have been many eyewitness accounts of skirmishes between goant squid and whales. Squid are very specific to their environment and scientists have predicted that squid can't survive in warmer water because they can't carry oxygen in their blood as efficiently in warmer waters. Warm water can also disable a squid's buoyancy mechanism and force them to stay closer to the surface, which accounts for the many sightings. They have never been observed in tehir natural environment.
